Jocelyn Duford, Artistic Director

Jocelyn is thrilled to be bringing her love of theatre arts and education to the Fairy Tale Players! She has been active as a performer for the group for years and is proud to work for FTP in a larger role. Jocelyn holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Dartmouth College with a concentration in acting and sound design. She has years of experience running theatre camps and programs as well as directing young actors in full scale productions. Most recently, she brought her love of performing and education to countless schools through Mad Science, instructing elementary aged students in various science enrichment programs. Jocelyn is also a professional working actor in the Boston area and substitute teaches during the day.

Mary Rees Gould, Board Member and founding Artistic Director

A lifelong theater participant and musician, Mary Rees Gould co-founded Fairy Tale Players in 2010 with the goal of creating educational theater for young children that was accessible, affordable and educational. She is an Assistant Teacher and Music Specialist at Discover Preschool, teaches early childhood music at LLL and Temple Emmanuel preschools (all in Andover) and is a Registered Music Together teacher. She studied piano and communications at Loyola University/New Orleans and sang with the Loyola Chorale and the New Orleans Opera. She regularly appears in community theater, most recently with Neverland Theater of Salem and Colonial Chorus Players of Reading.

 

Stephanie Morey Barry, Education Director

Stephanie has been performing for as long as she can remember! She is a classically trained soprano with an extensive background in musical theatre and contemporary Christian worship music. Stephanie runs the Real Jams Musical Theater Program at Real School of Music in Andover, MA. She is a proud member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing). Stephanie earned her Master's Degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia where she studied Church Music. She also holds a graduate certificate Worship Studies from Liberty University's School of Music. She holds an undergraduate degree in education from Salem State University, where she studied music (voice and flute) and education. A life-long learner, Stephanie is enrolled in a distance-learning and intensive-based degree at Regent University, where she is earning a Master of Arts in Theatre Ministry with concentration in directing.
